FastLane Feature Update Announcement: Websocket Support for the RPC

Feature Update Announcement

Greetings, FastLane Searchers!

We are thrilled to announce a significant update to the FastLane on Polygon protocol that we believe will greatly enhance your experience. Our team has been hard at work, and we're excited to introduce Websocket support for the RPC, a powerful addition to FastLane on Polygon.

Websocket support for the RPC removes the requirement to connect to the RPC endpoint using HTTP Keep-Alive connections. This update improves request latency and makes the implementation for Searchers easier. We have listened to your feedback and have developed this update with your needs in mind, aiming to make your setup as quick and easy as possible. For backwards compatibility we will continue to support bundles over HTTP Keep-Alive connections, but expect Websockets to be better in almost all cases.

As a part of introducing websockets support, we have migrated to a much more globally distributed RPC infrastructure, increasing the number of entry points into the FastLane network from 4 to 14 which should translate into improved latency for searchers worldwide.

Key features and improvements of Websocket support for the RPC include:

  • Easier implementation for Searchers
  • Reduced latency/increased speed
  • No requirement to periodically refresh your connection

To start using Websocket support for the RPC, simply replace your HTTP Keep-Alive client side code with a websocket connection. Detailed instructions and tutorials can be found in our updated documentation, which we encourage you to explore.

We value your feedback and would love to hear your thoughts on Websocket support for the RPC. Feel free to reach out to our support team if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Your input helps us continue to improve our products/services and provide you with the best experience possible.

Thank you for your ongoing support and trust in FastLane on Polygon. This update is part of our ongoing commitment to deliver robust, efficient, and user-friendly solutions to our community.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates on the horizon!

Best regards,

The FastLane Labs Team
